The group meets twice a year. is held in Oxford in November and is followed by a number of lectures on recent research or fieldwork on hillforts, mostly in Britain, but occasionally on sites from other areas of the world. Members on a recent field trip at the site of Cherbury Camp, Berkshire.

We were founded in 2001 to support students from Russia studying at Oxford University. We have helped students from across Russia. We have sponsored over 110 Scholars since 2001. The Hill Foundation provides scholarships at Oxford University for Russians of extremely high academic ability. The mission of the Hill Foundation is to create a community of scholars who share the values of Oxford and work for the betterment of Russian life and culture.
